Command Station Part 2

I could not take having that ugly thing on my wall any longer so when I found a picture frame I liked on clearance at CVS I took it as a sign. Here is the new and improved station.

Picture frame= 3.50 minus 2.00 ECBs
Printer paper= already had
ribbon and stickers = reused from last attempt

So do ya'll think it looks better? I sure do

My house smells yummy!

From Beyond My Kitchen Window posted how to make your home smell like Williams Sonoma. I don't know about ya'll but to me a nice smelling home is a happy home so I tried it (sort of). I did not have any rosemary and could not find any fresh at the store so I used just lemons and vanilla. I put it in my crockpot and within minutes my house smelled wonderful. It smells like I have been baking cookies all day. So happy I finally had a pin turn out right.

In other news, I am a kitty grandma!

A clean stove (kind of)

http://behindthestudio.com/2011/06/15/how-to-clean-your-glass-cooktop/# shows how to clean your glass top. While looking at it I glanced at mine and said oh its not that bad.

:: hangs head in shame::

I started doing it and realized my stove has gray burners. Please don't judge me I am still learning this house wife stuff.  But I will update with pics once I finish the cleaning.

Sooo, no pics. Why? Because my stove is still a mess. This tip probably works for those who already have a semi clean stove but not so much for a really dirty one.

Oh well. Off to find our next pin to try.

My first attempt....Failure?

So I found lots of ideas for command centers on Pinterest. These bloggers are geniuses. I wanted to make mine as cheaply as possible and I think you can tell

3 frame= .49 at Salvation Army
3 pieces scrapbook paper=.49 each at Joanns
1 pack sticker=1.00
1 roll of ribbon=1.00
Total=4.00

Proceed to laugh.

The Beginning of My Journey

As a way to create the home and life I want I have decided to take a "quest through Pinterest". Each week I plan to find one project for me, one project for my "darling" little girl, and one recipe to try my hand at. Will they all turn out wonderfully? I doubt it but I would love for ya'll to join the ride.
